WHY DOES IT MATTER?
This didn’t happen on its own, but as a crime committed by a group of persons by prior agreement. W. Putin, S. Shoigu, E. Prigozhin V. Gerasimov and other Russian top officials, using their power and position, have been involved in the organization of the mercenary activities (recruitment, training, financing and other forms of mercenaries’ material support, as well as their use in armed conflicts). There are the aggravating circumstances of the crime — the fact that prisoners have been recruited as mercenaries as well and the scales of the activities — the number of recruited prisoners has totaled near 60 000 people.
In addition, the mercenaries from among the prisoners have been de facto given into slavery, with their pardon petitions consideration being postponed, which indicates that that the abovementioned group of persons has been involved in human trafficking as well and used the state as an instrument of their crime (on average, a pardon was granted in 4 minutes, judging by the time it took to sign such a decision).
Therefore, this is an unprecedented crime – considering both its scales and the degree of disregard for human rights. And this crime has led to extremely unprecedented consequences – the private owners shared the monopoly on violence among them and de facto initiated a civil war.
A crime of such a scale and of such significance should be considered within the sole competence of the International Court of Justice. The further solution of the problem should be sought by international organizations and institutions. That is why we are gathering signatures under the petition to the International Court of Justice with the request to open the corresponding criminal cases.
WHAT WOULD THAT GIVE US?
We need a huge public outcry to draw attention to the problem and push responsible world leaders to contribute to initiating the criminal cases by the International Court of Justice. The Civic Council believes that the criminal cases opened against Putin, Shoigu, Prigozhin and other officials would justify the need of military actions on the territory of the “Russian Federation” and help us to create an armed resistance movement that could effectively resist the criminals and be regarded as legitimate by the international community.

OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) — is an important and essential part of any modern intelligence service. Well-gathered and well-analysed information from open data sources helps to formulate correctly a task for main intelligence activities and greatly simplifies operational planning process.
However, we have another important task in which OSINT is indispensable — we are constantly investigating the crimes of the Putin’s regime, putting together the timeline of the events, analysing the motives and accomplices of the entire complex of crimes of the violent usurpation and retention of power committed by the criminal community led by Putin.
All this is just a part of our OSINT tasks. There is so much more interesting and fascinating things. And a lot of risk. Let’s face it honestly, the job in the OSINT intelligence is in its way as dangerous as fighting on the frontline.
